Advertiser

An Advertiser is an online business that offers products or services and shares a portion of its revenue with affiliates for generating sales. Advertisers may also pay a fixed amount per lead when the affiliate campaign is based on a Cost Per Lead (CPL) model.

Affiliate Partner (Publisher)

An Affiliate Partner, also known as a Publisher, promotes the advertiser’s website through their referral channels and helps generate sales or leads in return for a commission.

Affiliate Campaign

An Affiliate Campaign defines the program details, including the campaign goal—whether it is to generate leads or sales. Based on the objective, payouts are made on Cost Per Lead (CPL) or Cost Per Sale (CPS/CPA). It also includes information such as the website URL or landing page and commission structure.

Affiliate Payout

Affiliate Payout refers to the incentive paid to affiliates. It specifies the exact commission amount offered for each valid lead (CPL) or sale (CPA/CPS).

Affiliate Tracking Solution

An Affiliate Tracking Solution is used to track affiliate performance, including the number of leads and sales generated. Based on this data, commissions are calculated and paid to affiliates. Tracking can be implemented using in-house affiliate software, plugins, or third-party affiliate networks.

Affiliate Network

An Affiliate Network acts as a middleman between advertisers and affiliates. It provides real-time tracking, reporting, and payment management, making it easier to manage affiliate campaigns efficiently.

Cookie Tracking Period

The Cookie Tracking Period is a predefined time window (in days) during which a sale is attributed to an affiliate after a user clicks on their referral link. If a purchase is made within this period, the affiliate earns the commission.

Affiliate Report

An Affiliate Report is generated on a weekly or monthly basis and shows affiliate performance metrics such as the number of affiliates onboarded, traffic generated, leads, and sales driven by affiliate partners.
